Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction Shortlist Recap: Rachel Cusk || Outline

Our main character is in Athens for seven days, giving a summer course in writing. We get to know her well through conversations she has with friends and students. She is a woman who stands behind her decisions and does not hesitate to make her opinion on life and relationships known. Outline forced me to slowly take in everything that was being said, it was a pleasant break in a hectic world focussed on action. I’d not be surprised if Cusk is a favourite amongst the jury.
